«Finished the first episode of 「つるかめ助産院~南の島から~」!!!
I had a few problems with it re: the lady doctor being a bit judge-y when Riisa’s character really didn’t need that at all. Telling her that her baby could hear her, acting disappointed when she went in for the first time to make sure she wasn’t pregnant and expressed relief “even though she was married”. Some married couples don’t want kids/aren’t prepared for kids/etc!
Of course my grasp on the language isn’t best so I missed a lot. Hopefully someone will be subbing this! I’ll continue watching, of course, because Riisa, but I hope that they’re more understanding of her situation in future episodes» ©
